I spoke with one of your sales people on the phone and described my house/needs. It turns out some of the things she recommended were totally incorrect and not recommended in the book you sent to set up/install my system. I feel like i'm half protected. I would not recommend to a friend or family.

From the start of your service I continue to have a very difficult time in reaching customer service and when I do the CSR is hard to understand and also has a difficulty understanding me.

Terrible Communication - sadly!
Sent an email asking for installation instructions, because they were NOT in the box,and I received an email back telling me how to sign up for monitoring. So, I sent an email back CLARIFYING what I needed, and never received any response at all. This is the 3RD time I've had issues with communication. It's as if a computer is reading the emails and TOTALLY misunderstanding them, and so just sending a 'form letter' response! So far, NOT impressed at ALL with customer service! I've even thought of just eating the cost of the equipment, and starting over with ADT. Rather Disappointed!

The system works well but I still have a minor problem with the base station lights. I would have given a 5 star rating if you could have helped me with my base station issue but the problem remains. Several calls have been made to to you to resolve this issue but none of the recommendations have resolved the problem. The wait time when I call is very often longer than I wish to hold. You have a good product but the service has not been desirable thus far.

There have been many times that my alarm had went off and no one had called to notify me. Along with movements detected in my house and no call.. I was watching out new puppy run through my house (after he escaped the pen) and no one called. I set the alarm so I know I should be notified. A little scared about how secure this is...

I had such high hopes. The ads and testimonials were so grand.
Reality... not so great. Cameras are wifi and plug in dependent. They constantly lose connectivity and turn off. First thing thieves do is cut the power. Result, cameras down. Hub down as well. I'm afraid to arm the system because it's so temperamental.
When I call support, they seem untrained. Worst of all, wait times for customer service were over an hour and often times the line would hang up after an hour of waiting. I've given up and consider it a $1300 loss. Good luck.
12hr wait for alarm status notification 👎🏽
I continue to get notifications re: the status of my alarm 8-12 HOURS after they occur. The solution from SimpliSafe??? Look for emails instead. If my alarm is activated I should be IMMEDIATELY notified, not seeing an email hours later.

Negligent Support
I was once a really big fan of SimpliSafe until we had someone steal a device at an estate sale. I spent several hours on calls with support to determine what could be done. Ultimately, I learned that they don’t do anything to flag a missing device or prevent it from being used by someone else. This is as trivial as marking a table in a database from a 1 to a 0.
I decided right then to cancel my order for additional cameras and I’ve been slowly purchasing components from another company to shift my security system.
Also, free shipping promo codes are only valid for new customers. This burned me in the past when I bought $300 of additional equipment such as smoke detectors.

You let your customers wait for a long time 30-40 at times for assistance.
That is why I changed service to another company even though its monthly service fee is higher.

It's as if I was sent seconds. Almost every piece of equipment had to be replaced. I didn't even get all of the equipment with the initial shipment. The burglar alarm triggered the fire department to come out for some unknown reason. I am half afraid to turn the system on. I am a senior and not equipped to troubleshoot problems with the system. I would not recommend Simpli safe to anyone.
