From the start the system had bugs and…
From the start the system had bugs and battery issues. Nothing like being around the world and think your house is being broken into only to find out the system was just junk. I was tired of talking to police through my Ring doorbell to say sorry my alarm malfunctioned again.

Question on Equipment Reliability and Ridiculously High Postage and Handling Fees
Very high postage and handling fees and very long wait times if you wish to add on to your system or replace equipment. Prices for add on equipment are very high compared with what you initially order. Once you buy your system you will most likely find you will need to add equipment, so it seems this is where they get you. Have had one false alarm so far involving 2 separate motion detectors. When 2 separate motion detectors go off in your home you would think that would indicate someone is wondering about your house, but this was not the case. There was no break-in, just a problem with the system. I have only had the system for about 6 months. Luckily the police in my community did not issue a ticket, which is customary. In many communities false alarms can be quite costly. I have also has one other motion detector fail and it took quite some time on the phone with the customer service people to get the unot up and running again. I like the system as a whole, it seem to be very versatile and their, customer service people I feel, are very good, but some of these issues have really had a souring effect, compared with other alarm systems and companies I have used in the past.

Terrible wait times for customer…
Terrible wait times for customer service and tech support. I’ve called 3x in the last week and been on hold for over an hour and a half with no results. Why don’t you have call-back service?? After waiting on hold for 30 minutes, your customer service person couldn’t help me and transfered me to tech support. I waited ANOTHER 30 minutes before having to pick up my daughter.

Terrible customer service
The only way to downgrade service is by calling a customer service representative. After sitting on hold for 45 minutes without being helped, I gave up and sent an email instead. No one has replied to my email either. This system has some serious flaws.

I had a difficult time not with the product so much but with the customer service reps being rude and then some of the things were not included in the order I wish I would've had a better experience because I really do like your products.

None of the devices work
None of the devices work. Door and window sensors kept falling off. Camera couldn't maintain WiFi. Customer service was no help. Only interested in up selling.

I got this system for the camera coverage
I bought this system essentially for the camera coverage, inside and out. 1) Unfortunately, the cameras don't work that well outside. During the day they pick up too much (every car that passes by in the street!) but at night a person has to be within a couple of feet to trigger it even with my super-bright lights on. 2) Even though I paid extra to retain all the recorded footage going back one month, I was never able to access more than 4 recordings per camera per day. I asked the helpline how to get to the other recordings and the help person began reading a manual while I was on the phone! She read for 20 minutes and was never able to come up with any solution. So I paid about $400 but don't use it for anything now.

The customer service is quite poor
The customer service is quite poor. I had to return an unused system (within the return window). I received a label and returned the package as requested. After months nobody at Simplisafe could confirm if they had received the package even with tracking. This meant they would not issue my return, refused to let me speak with a manager and offered zero options for how to rectify. I had initially planned on purchasing again in the future when I have the need but will no longer be doing so because of customer service.

We ordered several items and paid to…
We ordered several items and paid to have them all installed only to find out it wouldn’t pick up the windows in the basement. Sent everything back still waiting for a refund and of course the 150$ I paid for installation isn’t refundable. Very disappointing

Ordered multiple items at the same time…
Ordered multiple items at the same time received all items in three different shipments. When I attempted to return these items there was confusion as to which items went with what shipment. Made it very difficult to obtain my refund. Would not recommend

When I attempted to return this product multiple errors were made. The tracking code that was sent for one package was sent for another therefore delaying my refund by two months. Spoke with multiple people and attempting to resolve the situation. Would not recommend

You can only use all the features if…
You can only use all the features if you pay monthly, otherwise you get very little, says don't need pay to use but you really do, not set up to mount on walls high up where you need it, must have plug near place you want to place it, not as convenient as advertised, was disappointed and returned it

Not happy
Cannot get my Inside camera to stay off in Home mode, regardless of settings. The front porch camera/doorbell is way too slow to trigger the app which in turn takes way too long to open to allow response. Most times the person ringing the bell has long since gone before I can respond. Back door camera never triggers with motion. And I’m paying $25 a month for what? Not happy.

After purchase with "white glove…
After purchase with "white glove installation", SimpliSafe disappeared. 3rd party vendor never showed-up to install after not 1, 2 or 3 scheduled appointments. No call or rescheduling. "Appointment cancelled" text is what you get. Called SimpliSafe, who just excused itself from the situation. Returned $1,000 system in unopen box. Hate to think if I actually needed police assistance and signal goes to a 3rd party dispatch, or worse their own?!

Operation of cameras is inconsistent
Operation of cameras is inconsistent. I tried to use them for mobile alerts but it will either alert me at times when it is disabled or not alert me when it is enabled. Alerts seem to be completely random. Tech support could only suggest a restart which had already been done multiple times. At the time of contacting tech support the problem was primarily with one camera so they offered to exchange it. I began the process to exchange it but then it started working properly so I cancelled the exchange. I soon realized that the problem comes and goes with all cameras. I asked to return the entire system but because it was past 60 days they wouldn't accept it. The motion sensors will also alarm from a 70lb dog even on the lowest sensitivity setting. I also have a motion sensor that frequently loses its connection with the base station even though it's only about 30 feet away.

They didn’t solve my problem
They didn’t solve my problem. They were going to send me a new key pad, but call got dropped. They have my address and phone so they could have called me back or just sent out the key pad since they had all the info already. Just keeping me hanging on the phone while finishing typing stuff . Terrible initiative and follow through on a product that so far has proven to be pretty sh!tty.

We have called customer service on…
We have called customer service on three different occasions acknowledging the cameras we were issued did not detect movement. While the employees are nice and eager to help, we are not impressed with the technology. On several occasions, we had packages delivered to our front door without any detection of movement. In these cases, the deliverer would’ve passed by two separate cameras. The door opening magnets and inside alarm works well. The camera detection doesn’t.
