I find the equipment to be very cheap and does not work well.
The motion detects are sub standard compared to my current system that is 17 years old.
The motion detectors just stick on the wall? Really? A bracket so they can be permanently secure and able to be positioned for optimal accuracy would be reasonable. .
Awful
Police called twice to my house due to poor quality of sensors. Nobody was home and nobody was in my house. Motion sensor detected someone was in my house. There was not. Next time it said my alarm was going off due to the panic button being pressed. There was nobody home yet again. So either the equipment is poorly made or some “thief” is really dumb for hitting the panic button. I’ll let you decide.
Worst customer service ever
New but malfunctioning smart lock, told I would get a replacement in 2 days, it's been 2 weeks. I try calling back to see what is going on, have to give up after more than an hour on hold at a time, emailing service doesn't help either. Terrible customer service.

Garbage... Returned all of it.. But they did give a prompt refund. Kudos for that.
I paid for Simplisafe components
I paid for Simplisafe components, but never received them. I initiated the obligatory follow-up requests for an explanation/non-delivery but received no satisfaction. It's one of these types of purchases where I paid-in-full for service before service was rendered, then I was expected to do the leg-work to figure out why it did not happen. UNACCEPTABLE.

I have called 2x now and was placed on hold or actually or I held for 1:30 and 45 minutes and no one came to the line.

Several phone calls on cameras that will not sync. I have two camera with the intention to buy several more for my system. I can get one to sync anytime I add another camera , one goes to yellow
Light and will not sync. They keep sending replacements and same thing happens. Also get constant calls in middle of the night saying sensor lost contact . Not a lot of
Confidence in the systems quality , probably will switch if we can not get cameras worked out. Also weather proof outdoor sensors would be a nice feature for gates etc

System takes a while to report movement on our phones. Purchased a 3rd camera at Best Buy as an outdoor equipment and it didn’t come with the case, tried to purchased by itself and is not available…
Very poor customer service / technical…
Very poor customer service / technical support - have had the system for 6 years now and upgraded it once - have continual problems with false alarms and sensors not responding (brand new and existing) - after multiple calls to tech support the problems are still not resolved - each time a call is made you talk to someone new who doesn't read the notes the last person claims to have put in the system - their solution is always change the batteries or we will send you another one n/c - two times now a customer service person has promised to call me back at an agreed time and they did not call back at all - last time I called I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told they were busy and not available - if you are looking to buy a new system find other options - if you already own a simplisafe system I guess we are stuck with a substandard product
The Worst Experience Imaginable
System not reliable. Sensors keep going offline. Worst part of this experience though was that Simplisafe cancelled my purchase 5 times. Now, because of the delays that caused, key parts of my order are indefinitely delayed on backorder. Thanks for nothing, should have taken the hint and spent my hard earned dollars elsewhere.

Slow To Respond
Had to call customer service a few times recently and had to wait over 1 hour 15 min on more than one occasion to actually speak with a human. Totally unacceptable especially when it comes to questions regarding your home security. The customer service agents themselves are fine.
I also found that the call response to a couple of accidental alarm trippings were far slower than I would have liked (several minutes elapsed) and also unacceptable. What’s the point of a panic button if a call center is going to take a few minutes before they get in touch? This slow response time has my wife and I considering changing systems.
The Simpli Safe devices themselves seem to work rather well. No complaints or concerns with the tech. It seems pretty good.

The service was great while I needed it. Canceling the service was a total scam. No confirmation number and months later the bills continued.

Their cameras do not work very well and consistently. I put 2 cameras side by side, just face in differently direction, they are about TWO feets away from my Comcast router. One camera works 80% of the time when I turn on the monitor, other works only 30-40 % of the time. I ask for Tech help. SimpliSafe said I need a booster. I called Comcast, they said my internet works great. makes no sense just one camera works fine when both mounted on the same location.?

Your serv reps are basically just the sales person, they are more concern how to upgrade my service for more money than solving my issues. or at least pretend to help.
I purchased 3 package systems from SimpliSafe. I REGRET now. and you only to find out when you have problems that you need their help.

Unavailability of servicing
I wanted to schedule installation by your staff in order to a) get some input on the location of some components and b) test your availability to service if something ever went wrong.
No confirmation was ever received. I followed up and after a few phone calls understood that you do not have the capability to provide such services in my area. This was not stated up front, I had to tease it out of the system
So, I returned the equipment and was duly refunded (thank you)
The keypad would stop working almost…
The keypad would stop working almost weekly, requiring a “hard reset” as the customer serv rep called it, removing all the batteries and holding in buttons to reset it, which causes you to then have to reprogram/reactivate all the sensors and cameras. Security system is no good if you can’t depend on it when you aren’t there to reset it. I gave 2 stars vs 1 because the cost is lower than most home security equipment

have had my system for about a year and a half,and honestly have had very few issues.I found the system easy to install and set up.Had a coup;e of glitches with my outside camera installations but very minor.My major complaint is when i have called for technical support I have waited in excess of 40 minutes and finally just give up and tried at a later time.this has happened almost every time i have called for support.Once I finally get a rep they generally can solve my issue in a short time frame.It would seem to me that if I am waiting so are a multitude of other customers and as a company I would hire more personnel to help alleviate the back log of calls or even give the customer a choice to wait or receive a call back.Believe me 40 minut3es of that awful music would drive the best of man crazy.

Instead I keep getting prompts to buy an wifi expander. So the camera hangs forlornly on the wall because I "simpli" have been too disgusted to do move it again and trash it.
