Our sensors fall off and don't work even though they are less then a year old.
The sensors say a door is open or not responding when the door is closed and sensors are fine. Worst system I have ever had. I guess yo get what you pay for. I never had a problem with ADT.

I provided my new home address twice
I provided my new home address twice. The first time was on July 4th. I called to report we had an intruder and I wanted more info on the cameras. Unfortunately, the camera was not placed correctly in the back of the home by the technician from HelloTech and so no footage was captured. I asked to have another sensor, and wifi extender sent to us and corrected the shipping address. Two days later I received another call from a different rep stating that I was eligible for a discount since I only recently purchased the alarm system. The discount was applied and I again provided the correct address. When I received the shipping confirmation and tracking number I saw that the equipment was sent to my old address in NYC. I had to drive 45 minutes to pick it up. I'm also not happy with the HelloTech service which although is not Simplifsafe, they are contracted by Simplisafe to assist in the home installation. I was charged for work that wasn't completed specifically the keyless entry that I purchased was not installed. The tech said he'd come back to do it after we put in a new bolt. In the end my husband installed the lock himself and as I mentioned previousy the camera was pointless. He just checked that I got the signal on my phone app but the placement is just as important.. I had to file a separate complaint with Hellotech to get a refund.

Simpllisafe is not easy to get in touch with and their personnel are not well-informed in my experience. We've had massive problems - even with great internet, keeping our front doorbell connected. The keypad has gone permanently AWOL and honestly? for the over $1000 price tag - this is just NOT a reliable system and WAY too costly for what you get. I could never, in good conscience refer this system to anyone
Horribly disappointed
Horribly disappointed. Got 2 cameras & 2 motion detectors. Only 1 of the cameras worked & connected to wifi well, everything else was glitchy & undependable. Numerous false alarms. Only person I talked to that seemed to be well trained was the lady I spoke to to cancel monitoring.
Camera is just junk!
One of the main reasons I got the package I did was for the camera. Unfortunately, the camera is absolute junk. It refuses to recognize the router. I scoured the Internet and tried everything that was suggested, but it would never work. I spent hours trying to get it connected.

Our alarm went off in am and I got a call in the pm!
I recently accidentally set off our alarm at our residence in the morning. I reset the system for the alarm to go off. I expected a call from SimpliSafe to ensure we were ok, but did not receive one. Around 5pm that evening I got a call from SimpliSafe telling me they have dispatched the police to my house, and they wanted to know if I wanted to report a false alarm! I was stunned, as it was many, many hours after my accidental alarm, if a bad guy had actually entered our home we would never have gotten any sort of timely police response. And to dispatch the police so many hours later was truly incredible. I told the person that was an outrageous delay, and she said she was sorry but they were very busy that day!!! My word, if you cannot rely on SimpliSafe then why bother purchasing their plan?? Perhaps SimpliSafe has grown too fast; perhaps they have not caught up with staff to respond to alarms? My question now is should I keep them or junk the whole system and get a different, more reliable service. I am hoping this was an aberration, not the new normal.

Technicians never showed up for installation three times. I then returned the equipment.
Worthless product and company.
This product, customer service and company are a complete and epic failure. System did not work out of the box. Service deleted account when monitoring was canceled. Worthless.

Beyond disappointed
I am beyond disappointed. I am already considering/shopping for another company, that will actually provide support rather than send a generic email response to any questions asking to call in and speak with a customer service rep over the phone, even when you are the one asking for a call back. Pretty much a useless system to me at this point. Would never have gone with this company if I knew this up front.
I bought SimpliSafe home alarm system…Save your money
I bought SimpliSafe home alarm system because I understood that it was able to send a notification even if the system was jammed, well when the jamming happens it also jams the cellular signal as well. The system is useless. You will finally get notified after the jamming and after the burglary has already happened. My home has been burglarized multiple times with this system in a few months time by the same people.WiFi and cellular systems can both be jammed. I will be finding a wired system!!!!!

I installed the system myself and it took much longer than advertised. Most of the components had to be returned because they did not not work. The only reason I did not give one star is that the technical support was very good and there was quick turn around with new parts. I probably spent at least 10 hours on the phone trying to get my system working.
Difficult to reach a live person when an alarm triggered
Last week I accidentally triggered our alarm. An operator did call immediately but my ringer was off. When I noticed the missed call about 3 min after I called back and was in hold for over 15 min. My husband tried calling too and held for over 12 minutes. Approximately 20 minutes after the alarm triggered I was called by the local police. They were dispatched to my home and entered to ensure everything was ok. Luckily the back door was unlocked or they may have had to break it to gain entry. It’s very disappointing that because our calls went unanswered that the situation went to the level it did.
While I appreciate your response and advice I returned the call within a minute and between myself and my husband we were on hold for over 25 minutes. Had we been able to reach someone the police would not have been dispatched. SimpliSafe is saved in my contacts. If I’m unable to pick up the call as I was in this case saving the number will not help. It will help if we are able to reach someone in customer service to assist us.

Silmplisafe just did not live up to my expectation compared to other security systems. I can not count the number of times that I had to contact customer service. I had cameras that I could monitor but they didn't record unless I promoted them to do so, never ever did they self record.... waste of money.
