Cant cancel monthly monitoring fee
I have called and sent 3 emails to try to cancel the monthly fee, as I do not need to use the monitoring system. Responsiveness = ZERO.
Defective equipment, lousy service
First base station was defective. Wasted an afternoon trying to set it up before a call to customer service confirmed it wasn't functioning properly. Was told a new one would be drop shipped. Still haven't received it two weeks later. I'm done. Save yourself my hassle and go with a different company.
System capabilities and self-monitoring…
System capabilities and self-monitoring claims are very misleading. The only feature available for people wanting to self-monitor is "current system status" on the mobile phone (no push notifications, no video, no system adjustments, no arm/disarm). Unless you walk around with app open and the phone unlocked, the only time you'll see a system change (e.g. alarm/armed/disarmed) is long after the fact.
Components are too expensive, I can buy enough window/door sensors for my entire house with the cost of one simply safe wifi window/door sensor. I can install a complete wired system and pay for several months of monitoring with the cost of a complete Simply Safe system.

Security system? No way
In my opinion SimpliSafe is a company in the business of selling security system gadgets. They are not a security company. You have to design the system. You have to figure out how to make it work for you. The software system provided is not well designed or maintained. And if for any reason you need some help, don’t even think about talking to a person. If you really want to talk to someone there are two ways; 1) act like you want to buy something, or 2) trip your alarm and give them ten if fifteen minutes.

Your representatives were eager to…simply sell a product.
Your representatives were eager to pitch how easy it is to use your product. When in actuality, an assessment of the homeowner's WIFI and internet service should have been first and foremost - not SELL ME AN INCAPATIBLE a PRODUCT.
Take the time to find out what internet services are in a customer's home as oppose to telling a customer: "All you need is your cell phone to download our app."
The "refurbished" equipment was junk
The "refurbished" equipment was junk. Two dead cameras and one dead tablet. The batteries in the tablet were so old they had begin to leak. It took far too many calls to get it resolved. I cannot recommend Simplisafe to anyone and certainly not the junk "refurbished" garbage.

Call me this rating is because your still charging me and my cameras haven't been set up after 6 months or more from the company you said would do the install i know you a pandemic excuse but the saftey of you customers should come first aswell..

On the SimpliSafe Dashboard
On the SimpliSafe Dashboard, it list 2 residences. I sold one of the homes 5 years ago but, it remains the top of the list. Recently, I had the displeasure of having an issue come up where the sold residence indicated an alarm. There is NO system installed there. After wasting 30 min, discovered it was my main residence.
I have asked to have the sold property removed from my Dashboard and have been given several answers that they simply cannot remove it.....or won't.
Totally unacceptable for an alarm company to not be able to remove an address.
Totally frustrated with SimpliSafe.

Took months for you to replace a motion sensor that is necessary to secure my home.
Also just a lack of follow up from customer service to supervisors. No follow up.
On hold for far too long
On hold for far too long. Every call with SimpliSafe to date, I have been on hold. Most for over 30 minutes! Will need to change to another product/company if this continues.

I still have a back ordered key FOB. With knowing of major sales you should have anticipated the need for more devices instead of leaving your new and routine customers waiting with NO EXPECTATION of product delivery.
I ordered the same key FOB from Amazon and received it the NEXT DAY.

Cheap equipment/poor customer service. I’ve been trying to cancel service for weeks, but the only way you can do it is by calling. Every time I call there is an extremely long queue.
Terrible customer service
I ordered this and used it all over my house with the cameras and the alarms for the windows and doors. They do not advertise on their website that you have to use a monthly plan or their items will not work. So after I had it all set up and everything was working through the app I already thought that since I have the app I should be able to see the alarms on my phone and therefore I would need their monitoring. They called me just a few days after they would stop taking back the refunds and let me know that the monthly plan was required to use their system and that you cannot use it without the monthly plan. They absolutely Would not give me a refund and I had to contact the Better Business Bureau just to get a refund from these people. One out of five stars absolutely terrible customer service and bad advertising

I have had questions on adding additional products and no one will come to the phone regardless of what time i call. I feel sitting on hold for over 30 minutes is excessive. The "Call In Customer Service" end of your company leaves a great deal to be desired. It needs a ton of work. It is probably the worst in the business.
