No replies to 3 inquiries about being…
No replies to 3 inquiries about being provided a list of your monthly prices and what each level covers. Everyone on phone tells us something different and often changes the information during the same phone call. What we were told at purchase of equipment for a monthly bill was different from what we were told later. I would not recommend this plan to anyone because of this.

Our alarm was accidentally set off 2x in the last couple months and we recieved no phone call to see if it was actually us ! Not impressed !

Not impressed.
The sensors fall off the walls. The app doesn’t work. I thought I was being monitored - I’m not. I tried to fix it through the app. It keeps making me fill out the same form over and over. It tells me I’m covered, but then it tries to set up the account again. It’s a maddening circle of frustration. I guess I need to call your customer service, but it shouldn’t be this difficult. I would not recommend your product.

I sent an email a couple months ago…
I sent an email a couple months ago asking whether we could exchage the white "base" for a black one. We had not set up the system when I wrote, even though we purchased it in late 2019. We still have not installed it. Not because we don't think it's good. We're old and just have not gotten around to it. Beyond that, we have a small white female cat who loves to snuggle with us, but is otherwise a pure assassin. We didn't even know a black one was available until we watched a few YouTube videos about installation. My question about exchanging the white one for a black one remains unanswered.

Back orders from HELL
Way to much stuff is delayed 1 - 2 months, It mostly showed it sitting at a hub for a couple weeks and then miraculous making it here a day late, after Christmas on the 26th. Ordered on the 10th. then the waiting game began, several weeks later after numerous phone calls and telling them , " No problem, when it all finally does arrive I will box it and send it right back to you." It again all miraculous arrived within a couple days and they had no clue where it was? Then I still had to wait for smoke detectors. I think i will be looking for a new system elsewhere next time I need to upgrade. And I forgot to order the doorbell, but by the time this all transpired I was informed I could not receive the same discount as the package, only full price. Really? Please post this in your reviews!

I said are use camera back to…
I returned an unused camera back to SimpliSafe and nothing happened I wrote a note about two or three weeks ago still nothing happened I did ask for reimbursement. Add the camera was not used.

Good system, terrible service.
Good system, terrible service. Good thing for the return policy! What you get for your money is deceitful. Very limited, unless you sign up for top tier monthly payment plan. Do your research before buying. There other competitors that are equal quality & better value & service.

Motion detectors have rendered it useless for me
Install was a breeze, but I haven't been able to turn it on. The motion detectors are suppose to not trigger if your dogs and cats are under 50lbs. Mine are 35 and 20, are short, and trigger every time they enter a room. My expenditure on SimpliSafe has been a total waste since i cannot turn it on with dogs in the house, which is the only place the dogs are. Speaking to the customer service rep was no help, as he told me first that dogs trigger the alarm, and after I pointed out to him that his own website said that they would not, he told me that he would have a technician call me, which never happened. Poor experience thus far.

Did not handle to return of item very…
Did not handle to return of item very well at all. Had to wait 3 months to receive reimbursement after sending back unit that was never used. Poor customer service received.

Not what i hoped
Text support was very difficult to get through to the 1st 3 months and the controls on the system are very limited and they signed me up for monitoring and it's 3 weeks later and I see no change in the system can't get to the video of people that's been at my door and no follow up email.

Doorbell camera does not work again 2.4…
Doorbell camera does not work again 2.4 is 5 lines keeps going in and out The Camera not the 2.4 Inside camera always works. HELP nobody there can figure it out

Too many disappointments to be an anomoly.
No outdoor cameras were available at the time of purchase. Despite carefully following the instructions that were enclosed and contrary to the claims made in those instructions, a toy-sized dog can indeed activate a properly installed alarm, rendering it unusable unless we leave the dog crated when we are away from home. The smoke detector was faulty right out of the box and it had to be sent back. Once we are out of isolation we plan to purchase a video system from another vendor. Had we known what we know now, I would have purchased a different system in lieu of these products. The items that do work are okay, just not all of what we purchased. Not recommended for pet owners based on our experiences. Unfortunately, the virus may be the longest-lasting item made in China.

Getting the run around on a refund.
I called three times and was hung up on by the first two reps and then The third customer service rep I spoke to (Tamea) was amazing and friendly. Unfortunately my issue was out of her control bc I have been waiting for my refund for a item returned to simplisafe early February. I keep getting told that a refund request is being entered and when I call back nothing was done. Tamea escalated this to her manager but I was told the same thing, that a request was submitted. Still waiting for another 30 business days for the request to even be looked at (if it was even submitted). This money being returned to me would be very helpful in making sure I have food on my table right now in this current pandemic.

Doorbell audio did not work
I ordered a SimpliSafe door bell but it had a terrible lag and sporadic performance on the audio. You sent out another one but I had the same experience so I returned it for a refund. After over 30 days the refund had not been processed so I had to call back again to pursue that. The refund was then finally processed.

videos cut out
videos cut out, door bell camera not very clear even after cleaning. Ordered outdoor camera kit thinking it was the actual camera as the site is not specific that the indoor camera becomes the outdoor camera, so now I have two kits and no cameras. I plan to switch services in a couple of years to some other service but not now since I paid for all the devices already.

still Have to manually charge
The unit does not charge from the wall. That is why I didn’t want to get battery operated version. Now every month I have to take battery out and charge it. Not the biggest issue, but should not have to do this.

Self monitoring not included
I have Wyse cameras that notify me when activated. It is ridiculous that the Sinpli-safe system can’t be self monitored, as they imply in their sales pitch. Fortunately using my $22 Wyse cam allows me to receive notice if my alarm goes off. Simpli-safe should be ashamed. I can’t wait until Ring comes out with a system that can be self monitored. Who knows, maybe Wyse will beat both of them to the punch.
