Sadness
The sadness is a one of the things we really wanted the system to do would be to indicate when we have door openings. With this function not working it means we’re only getting 50% of our service

No video from cameras to iPhone
For whatever reason my iPhone app gives notifications that motion was detected buy my cameras are no longer viewable in app. I go to add them and they say they are already installed.....solid blue light.

no one to install
I have had the service for a long time and have not had time to install. I was understanding someone would install when I purchased the equipment. Come to find out there is no one in this area to install.

I'm very disappointed with customer…
I'm very disappointed with customer service. I had to wait 25 minutes for someone to answer my call. Then once I got on, somehow we got disconnected and no one bothered to call me back. I tried to call back but had to hold for a long time again. I also sent an email and have been waiting for it all day long. I've never gotten a response. My system currently doesn't work and I'm very frustrated.

It almost every stage of the process I found that SimpliSafe dropped the ball. I have been a customer Simplisafe for two years without signing up for the security service. I just use it in Home. When trying to update my system for security service I had to get some hardware update according to SimpliSafe. They didn’t include instructions in the box with the new equipment they asked me to replace my old equipment with. Another time I signed up for something to happen and nothing happened and I called SimpliSafe and they had no record of it. Another time I ordered a specific colored base station and of course they sent me the wrong one. Then I had to go to the trouble of returning it and then waiting for another one. And in all this I wanted to sign up for the monthly security program, they even botched that as well, but I finally got signed up so far I’m happy with the security service.

I like the system not the app
I like the system. What I don't like is that I can't monitor the system from my phone app. So if I'm not home the system is pretty much worthless. If I had done better research I would have chosen a different system.

Cameras were poorly described as they were not outdoor cameras. Packed everything up and shipped it back. Now leave me alone.

The camera is outdated and doesn't work…
The camera is outdated and doesn't work with modern systems. The stick-on sensors fell off on 3 of the 6 sensors. The one on the back sliding door didn't fall off, but just stopped working. The monthly test (where the system monitors are supposed to run a scheduled function test) haven't called or notified me anything is wrong, even though half the sensors no longer work because they fell off.

Never used it since it doesn't work. Bad sim card maybe. Cant get help so I gave up. I got a big system too, what a waste of money.

many issues and faulty devices
The smoke detector would go off all the time without any reason and the firefighters were here after a few minutes—there was no way to cancel it! We felt so embarrassed. We don’t even use it anymore. The motion detector wasn’t supposed to turn on for humans/animals below 50 lbs, yet it went off after our cat walked on the couch after midnight and the siren went off too so that of course woke us up. Customer support is a joke and everyone who called us when the siren went off (it happened multiple times because of the failure of one of the devices) to make sure everything is ok sounded like a machine: they’re annoyed and bored and don’t really care. We wanted to order a few additional items before it turned out how crappy the system was and there is a shipping fee even if you buy stuff for hundreds of dollars which is just petty. We wanted to cancel our order but they said it wasn’t possible, even though it hadn’t been shipped yet at that time. We’ve been charged the $25 monthly fee even though the first two months should’ve been free thanks to our home insurance so we had to contact them again. The customer support wasn’t available for 10-15 minutes—my husband was waiting in line and then he hung up and called them again, except that he then chose the “I want a new system” option and what a surprise!! He was transferred to someone immediately… The only good thing about it is the app which is quite basic but you can see the live stream from the cameras and turn on/off the system—however these options are only available with the most expensive package.

Simplisafe has began charging me months after i bought product for monitoring. I do not have nor requested monitoring. I have been unable to get them to stop

Tech Support Call 7/6
Received a sensor error that I was not able to resolve via website troubleshooting section on simplisafe.com. Called tech support this evening where automated system told me there was a 20 minute wait. Live person after 28 minutes, chatted for 3 minutes without resolution, new battery did not solve problem at his suggestion. Was then told that he had to check with ‘back office’ for solutions…never to be heard from again after another 30+ minutes on hold. Garbage response from company with a cheap system which was only appeal in the first place. You get what you pay for. Strive to do better for your customers and your company. Sensor still does not work and I am not wasting my time calling back.

I don't have a problem with the product... but the last 2 customer service persons were not very good. One (male) was very short with me.. the other, a woman hung up on me. Guess that's how it goes with SimpliSafe.

The product seems to work well
The product seems to work well, however, the customer service is not good. If I call, I expect to wait on hold for at least an hour, no exaggeration (Have waited longer). I once tried to upgrade my service at a second location. The sales rep I spoke with complete screwed up the account to where the base stations were located. If I had an issue at one location, they would have called the police in another state. Took 2 phone calls to fix.

Inattentive customer service
I ordered a simpliSafe system. It does not integrate with Apple Homekit, a feature that I needed. AS a result, I cancelled my order. However, they continued to ship parts to me. I returned the parts and confirmed that the order was cancelled, but they still shipped other parts. Horrendous service. No attention to detail or customer requess.

terrible customer service
The customer service was really horrible and ended up without resolution of the problem. I had to hire an independent contractor to come out and rectify the problem, as SimpliSafe refused to take back the system and refund my purchase. I was really dissatisfied and was really also tired of talking to multiple layers of incompetent people until the final supervisor told me that they would not refund my purchase.

I have had Simply Safe in my last home…
I have had Simply Safe in my last home and purchased $600.00 worth of their system for my new home BUT during the constructuon and COVID, products were not available quickly so home was delayed by 3 months, my Simply Safe system sat in the box waiting for installation. My children surprised me with the Ring system so I thought I could return the Sk Ply safe system but I was wrong. This very rude sales person told me I had purchased beyond the return date of 60 days and they would not take back!!! They certainly used the COVID issue to ship items late to everyone so why wouldn’t they take the return???very dismay with SS especially this rude customer service person.

Bad service
The first person I spoke to hung up on us because my child was upset. Very unprofessional. Brian is rude. Then when I called back the second person was great. To bad one bad seed causes a bad review and outshines the good.

We want to love Simplisafe.. but getting products is a nightmare.
We want to love Simplisafe. The service itself is good! But from the very beginning we were sent inferior products. Refurbished products that are attached to other people's info. Cameras that do not work - over and over again. Camera covers that never come in, it took us over 8 months to get a camera from them THAT WORKS (after several sent that do not connect because they are refurbished), and the cover for outdoors. Need a door sensor quickly? Nope. And when you receive it you best know you are paying full price for the old model - not the new. And that is when you ask for 'no refurbished products'. Then you have to call the company... over and over and talk to a rep who is at their home somewhere handling your call SO SLOWLY. Another hour down the drain. We ARE SO FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!
