I called about a product that was still missing after one month. He said it was on backorder and will not arrive for six more weeks. When I complained and suggested that I should receive the item at a discount or even free, he LAUGHED at me. When I complained about his rudeness, he hung up on me. I tried to call a supervisor, but one was not available. They said they would call me back, but didn't. I was going to buy this service for my four additional retail stores, but have changed my mind. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.. I recommend you go with a real security company.
I thank for your informing about the unfortunate delays, often caused by the Covid 19 issues. However, what I most upset about is that I could NEVER speak to a supervisor or Manager. The said one wasn't available and that they had to EMAIL one, who would call me back. Twenty four however later I have still not heard from one.
I also NEVER received an apology for the rude and unprofessional behavior of their employee.
They seem more interested in downplaying the issue.
Very unprofessional. It makes me believe this may be fly by night type company, and I would recommend all future purchasers of services from SimpliSafe to practice BEWARE
Make sure to return on time
Ordered a system, lost my house due to covid missed the return date by a few days now i have a $220 box of junk ill never use.

The first time I called they didn't offer any solutions. They Just told me I missed the return date by 3 days. The 60 day return period was not brought to my attention until day 63 when I tried to return it. I should have looked it up myself. I guess ill try to sell the never opened system at a loss.

If you want to deter a common criminal, this is probably a good system. Their response is right on. Don't be deceived, however all cameras and systems can be jammed if the thief has the equipment. I have had great loss and simply safe just simply didn't cut it.

every time i have had to call customer service i have had to wait an extremely long time.
Indoor cameras are terrible!
Smoke detectors keep disconnecting and the indoor cameras will never connect.

My connection is horrible. My doorbell camera always disconnects despite moving my router closer having the simplisafe extender.
Simplisafe is lousy.
The system is a hassle to install. The cameras won't capture the information necessary to go online. We want to return the cameras. We purchased the Ring system. It is much better.
Also, the Simplisafe system keeps going offline and then back online and giving us notices of this all day long.
Finally, I tried to call customer service last week and the recording said it would be 20 minutes on hold before I could speak to someone! Lousy!

Really frustrated by all the false…
Really frustrated by all the false alarms from your smoke detectors. Fire department showed up at 5am, and have had several close calls where I was contacted by Central and had to call off fire dept. Alarms are brand new. Going to need to cancel the service and get something that actually works.
This service is NOT good
This service is NOT good. The hardware is cheapy and the customer service is terrible. I've been trying to call for nights, waiting on hold for hours, to just get disconnected at the end of hour long holds. No one will call me back, no one will respond to my emails requesting support. I just want to return this product and receive a refund so I never have to have anything to do with SimpliSafe again.
Think long and hard before you go with the cheap option. You get what you pay for and this company gives you cheap hardware, cheap customer service and an expensive headache!

Did not receive correct credit for returned merchandise. Several phone calls did not resolve the issue.
Promises not kept
After a couple of years of acceptable service, I suddenly could not log in to the app or the website. I called and waited 35 minutes to talk to a representative. After another half hour and a couple of failed attempts to reset the app so I could log in, she promised a call back at 11:30 a.m. Eastern the next day. The rep said she would be able to connect me then with a team who can fix the issue. Now, 11 1/2 hours later, I have not received a callback and I still cannot use the app or the website to arm or disarm the system. I plan to look for a provider that can keep its promises and provide the functioning technology for which they are billing me.
Worst customer service and parts reliability
Worst customer service and parts reliability. Sent bad base station and keypad two times. Have returned bad parts 2-3 times in last 2 months.
Used SimpliSafe as a seasonal plan
Used SimpliSafe as a seasonal plan while we traveled to FL for 7 months. Before leaving FL I called customer service & requested cancellation as we would soon be home (early May).
It is now July , I came across multiple charges from SimpliSafe for services from May-July.
Made an inquiry to customer service assuming they would refund as it was an error on their end. I was not that fortunate.
If &when you cancel your service make sure you have it in writing (do not take the operators word for it), they will not back you up.

One camera broke after accidentally…
One camera broke after accidentally dropping it waste high. The deadbolt won’t turn all the way when I lock it remote. I even tested it while the door was open. That was only after 2 weeks of installation.
I expected more from this product.

Doesn't work well
Doesn't work well, was not easy to set up, had to return and hey new ones and just wish we would have used a different system, but now we are too heavily invested to change. Cameras are always dirty, some never connect, sensors are constantly offline... Really don't feel like we can ever turn on the security fully.
At least one false alarm per week
I got this and I had at least one false alarm per week. I knew more of what was going on in my home than it did. I had the cops at my house twice and finally just started figuring it was a false alarm after the first two times. After that I should have just unplugged it and it would have been more use to me.
Camera event capture is not reliable.
If you wish a monitored non video (camera) system, then I would say this system is reasonable. On the positive side, customer service and technical support are very good, responsive, and helpful. The indoor hardware is nice.
BUT if you plan to have a video monitored system using their cameras then I would say look elsewhere. Why do I Say that? Because the SimpliSafe Cameras do not consistently activate with a motion event. Another words, someone could walk right past the cameras and you will have no recorded record of this event. Technical support blamed this on my wifi strength. I do not believe this as I have 2 Google Nest cameras, one in the same vicinity, but farther away and these cameras DO activate and record motion and sound events.
I may elect to use the basic non-video monitoring and use my Google Nest cameras for the video record.
Cameras do not work. How do I return them?
First camera sent did not work and second camera sent also did not work I would like to return both for a refund. How do I do that?

Atrocious. A 'sticky' sensor fell off of my door and the alarm went off. Police came. I was not home. I had to pay a fine. On top of that my credit card has somehow been compromised and I had to re order a new card. In addition I have repeatedly called SimpliSafe only to ALWAYS be placed on hold. I have waited 43, 43 and 97 minutes. Of course I hung up each time. You guys are the worst. A complete and total embarrassment. I deeply regret ever choosing your second rate, third class outfit.
