Hate the system, never worked from the day we got it two years ago. We just gave up on it after trying to make it work.

HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET IT TO WORK. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF TRYING. I WISH I HAD NEVER BOUGHT THE EQUIPMENT OR HEARD OF THE CO. ALWAYS SOME PROBLEM WITH THE MOTION DETECTOR. I AM. TIRED OF FOOLING WITH IT AND TALKING TO PEOPLE AT YOUR CO. FOR HOURS TRYING TO GET IT SET UP. I DISLIKE IT IMMENSELY AS IT HAS CREATED A LOT OF STRESS ! I WANT TO IGNORE IT AND PRETEND I NEVER ORDERED IT. A WASTE OF MONEY.

Wait times via phone are entirely too long. Process to cancel monthly monitoring should be much more simple. There should be a live chat option available to help cancel monthly monitoring and aid in troubleshooting other problems.

SimpliSafe DOES NOT ANSWER YOUR CALLS once you sign up for service!
To whom it may concern,
The system was working fine; with the full monitoring plan. Within a couple of weeks, from the day I received the system, I had an issue with my base station unit.
SimpliSafe replaced the base unit, but the serial number of the defective unit was still listed in my app. For some unknown reason, this other unit was continuously interfering with the system.
I contacted SimpliSafe and, after WAITING on HOLD for over 30 minutes, my call was finally answered. I then advised the agent, and she appeared to have remedied all of the issues. She was very polite & professional.
One evening later, I observed an intruder on my property, and quickly checked my system, so I could view the recorded video. However, upon looking for the video, I learned that I was “NOT authorized to record”, EVEN THOUGH I WAS ALREADY PAYING for the premium plan?
Upon learning about this issue, I immediately contacted SimpliSafe, via telephone. My call was answered by an automated system; which promptly PLACED ME ON HOLD.
After OVER an HOUR of waiting I hung up, and called the SALES & monitoring number, which was answered within (5) rings!
Since SimpliSafe, by their actions, obviously only cares about selling more products, and NOT it’s existing customers, or their safety, I canceled my monitoring service.
What is the point of paying for monitoring; no one answers when you call, unless you are buying something. I.e. Additional components, new systems or monitoring.
Also, your own website (web page) states that customer service is open until midnight, yet when I called @ 10:30, a message instructed me to: “call back during regular business hours”.
Videos rarely work!
We get tired of our videos constantly being interrupted or not being available. Our internet is really fast and reliable, I don't understand how we keep having issues with videos.
I need outside cameras with batteries…
I need outside cameras with batteries not interior cameras that require to be plugged in. I need to exchange these cameras but it is past the return time.

Sales was very helpful but was quoted an installation charge to be included in the price by a third party. After contacting the installers I was informed that there would be extra charges for mounting and other charges that had me decline the whole package and returned for a refund.
Basically the product and price was great just the third party installation changed everything.
Police did not arrive to alarm
Our alarm went off (thankfully, accidentally). SimpliSafe called the primary contacts, whose phones rang and rang before going to voicemail. The police never arrived and SimpliSafe did not bother to check on us, despite the alarm going for 5 hours.

The system is completely useless unless you’re willing to pay a monthly charge. I returned it almost immediately.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, not qualified to answer basic questions. Two weeks ago for a second time in 6 months my app is wiped out with all my data, I still haven’t been able to speak to someone and get the issue resolved.

Your product is crap
Your product is crap! Your sticky backing for almost all of the devices didn't last two days before they started to fall off the wall, a wooden beam, glass. When I called to ask about the product not functioning as it should. I did not receive any help. Your customer service is non-existent. Actually it was worse than non-existent. No one new anything about the product and after being handed off to others who did not know of have any answers. A baggy of the exact same sticky things were sent to me. They did not work either. I hope your company goes out of business soon before you ripoff more trusting people. You sell sizzle but there is no meat. I believe your company is a fraud.
I had an issue with one sensor not…
I had an issue with one sensor not always being recognized as being closed and I got the standard answer regarding the battery on this sensor on my brand new system. What I found out after multiple experiments, is that there is a lag between the time I open and close the door, and when my control panel / base station registers that the door is closed when setting the alarm. The base station chimes every time when the door is opened but there is a delay when the system updates. I just wait a minute or so and all is ok.

On the one hand
On the one hand, the flood sensor triggered an accurate alarm. However, I was called on another alarm of entry into my unit. The two holders of the keys were in South Carolina and in church. When I went to view the door and interior, BOTH cameras were offline !!! After calling both key holders and I was passed through several customer service reps unable to answer questions. The final person said perhaps one part of the sensor fell off. How could that happen ? Answer; it happens. Get double backed tape and apply it. Why don't they put adequate adhesive to begin with ? Answer; I don't know. I cannot drive 16 hours and 1000 miles round trip to re-tape a messed up sensor !! After several weeks, I drove down for business, and sure enough the sensor was on the floor. And during that several weeks, control center turned the security off. So much for security !! So now I must purchase double backed tape and HOPE it doesn't fall off again ! I am very disappointed and not at all happy !!

We never got our system operating…
We never got our system operating online. What we want is the system to let us monitor our home but keeping it in house and able to view our cameras remotely without police monitor or response
My system goes offline often
My system goes offline often. Also, I had to purchase an extender in order to get my camera to work and even with the extender it sometimes doesn't work. The monthly fee is budget friendly.
Trying to get through to ANYBODY at SimpliSafe
I sold one of my houses on July 14th. I have tried four times t talk to someone at SimpliSafe to cancel/transfer my account. I have waited over 20 minutes each time, and no one picks up. I just tried now and they said it would be a 40 minute wait. Why can't we cancel online using our login?
I have you in my new home, but given the difficulty in getting through o anybody at SimpliSafe, I may cancel that account too. I have been with you since 2015, and never had thee kinds of problems.

Although simplisafe customer service has been good to me, my products have been the complete opposite. I have three indoor cameras that constantly lose wifi connection and prevent me from monitoring my home. I have other name brand systems in my home that do 90% better and am strongly considering changing over to those other brands.
Worse customer service ever!!!
Worse customer service I ever dealt with. I sent the whole system back two days after I received it. Could not get anyone on the phone to help me with setup.

Still cant get my doorbell to work and Simplisafe didn't help. Online help is worthless and basically have a $170 simple doorbell that doesn't work.. What happened to the simple install ???
