PEES Poor Customer Service
PEES POORcustomer service/technical support. A 40 minute wait to speak to technical support!!! Can you imagine...an alarm company that makes you wait for that long to fix a problem. Totally and utterly unacceptable. I will take my business elsewhere and trash their equipment...at least I receive frequent flyyer miles.

If I could give you a "zero", I would....
Can't use the so called "free" camera you sent when signing up. Now I see why it was free. App doesn't work. Even called and was told they know it has issues. Why pay for home security when cameras don't work. Purchased my own $36 home security suite with free cloud storage. Works great so far.

Frustrated
Every month we literally have to reset every single sensor, base unit and pin pad…Never had to do this with ADT…How frustrating 😡

Zero Customer Support
There is nobody to call, parts are not readily available online or at Best Buy, and the camera offered for outside use doesn't work unless you buy a jacket. Back to fact that you cant buy parts and I'm stuck with a useless $100 Camera

The doorbell wasn't installed properly
The doorbell wasn't installed properly. The cameras continue to drop the recordings. Cameras are offline a lot, or only record a part of the activity. I already have the WiFi "helper."

I called every day for 4 days at…
I called every day for 4 days at different times and was put on a hold to wait and it was an hour to 30 minutes each time and I finally gave up as no one ever answered. So I started selecting numbers on your menu and finally got someone who I mentioned not getting anyone and hope she could help me, which she did. I left a contact email and just got a standard response that was not addressing my questions. I guess if I had known it was this hard to talk to a live person I would have chose a different alarm company.

Ordered a system Never took out of box…
Ordered a system Never took out of box due to trips back & forth with close relative (MIL) with dementia. Emailed Simplisafe to see what we could do as the previous owner left a security system in place and we did not need Simplisafe 's system. Got a response by email was to call in and we could most likely send it back. After a 60 minute wait I was greeted by a very rude employee that told me the email was just an automatic response and was no good. He checked the date and we were just past the 60 day return window. Said we could not return and basically hung up on me. I am glad I never got into their monitoring system with a response like that. I would not recommend Simplisafe to anyone especially friends and/or family!

I cannot install it, I cannot find anyone who can install it. I have had it sitting in the box for a year and a half and it will remain there I guess. I even stupidly bought a camera. DAMN. To date, this is useless to me and I appreciate the fact that my real estate lady who helped me find this house gave it to me as a gift but so far, It's just gathering dust. Oh well, it was a nice thought. Useless, but a nice thought. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone who is not a DIY person. Susan Kennedy

I'm a long time customer...not pleased with current service!
I'm a long time customer. Back when I called (only 1 or 2 times) a few years ago I used to have someone answer my call immediately. Not so good these days. I was on hold for at least 30 minutes & I had to hang up. My time is every bit as valuable as yours! I needed assistance with setting up my cameras after a power outage. I'll try again hoping for a much better experience.

The doorbell camera is garbage
The doorbell camera is garbage. I replaced it 3 times with the same results. "No Signal", "Signal Dropped", "Unable to Connect". I spent HOURS on the phone with customer service to get the problems fixed, upgraded my wi-fi to speeds much higher than necessary. Finally returned the replacement doorbell camera Simply Safe sent to me along with the doorbell camera I purchased at Costco as I was told by Simply Safe representative, I would receive a refund for the doorbell camera I purchased from Costco. No refund and any disputes have to be settled with American Arbitration Association. Very dishonest. UPDATED: Contrary to the response by SimpliSafe, the issue was NOT interference and/or wi-fi reception. I installed a Ring doorbell camera in the exact place the SimpliSafe cameras were installed and the Ring camera works perfectly with excellent reception and connectivity. I also installed a WYZE camera further away than the doorbell camera and with more walls and obstructions between the camera and my modem and the WYZE camera works perfectly as well. I reiterate, the SimpliSafe doorbell camera is GARBAGE.

Trashing the whole system
I bought a system and tried to install it using your app. It will not connect with you guys. My son has the same system and he has tried to get it to connect. No luck. Have called your number and all I get is that your busy. Tried your website it’s a joke. I guess my next best thing is the trash

Easy to install, but not reliable
Easy to install. With the exception of their door lock mechanism. Physically, it's simple. But it keeps losing contact with the base. Several times it doesn't lock automatically. Update for lock on app keeps saying it's not connecting (bluetooth), but support says lock is up to date. Had an issue when SimpliSafe was doing maintenance on their system, and they sent the police to my home even after they vantage me and I gave my safe word. That was a $100 fee from the police department for a "false call" response. Over all, they just can't seem to get it together. The trial period went great, so I didn't return the equipment or cancel. It all went downhill AFTER the trial period. So now the stuff is mine. When enough items fail (or I move which ever comes first) I will NOT be using SimpliSafe again. I will opt for another service provider.

I have two major issues with my…
I have two major issues with my system.. The system itself has a few bugs, the biggest being that a few of my sensors stop responding at least once a week. No matter what I do they do not come back online and I set my alarm at night knowing I have windows with sensors that do not work which defeats the purpose of having a system. My second issue is the app. I understand it's a security issue that makes it log me out of my phone but it logs me out when I really need it to just work. Usually when I am leaving the house and then I leave without setting the system because I don't have 5 minutes to mess with the app. For both of these reasons I am giving two stars. I have the system to make me feel safe but at the moment it does not seem dependable enough to do that.

My home system and work system have…
My home system and work system have disconnected the cameras. Also at work, the temperature sensor has never been activated even though I have tried. And at home the second camera I installed has never captured any activity at the hours. Very disappointed.

Had to wait on the line for 45 minutes…
Had to wait on the line for 45 minutes to get a hold of a customer service agent. I was told replacement equipment would be sent next day expedited. It's been 1 week and I still haven't received the new equipment. On top of that, when/if I get the equipment I have to call back hold on the line for another 45 minutes to get the new equipment installed. I wish I had gone with another company even if I had to pay more.

The security system isn't the best
The security system isn't the best, and a little flawed. The benefit is that the system is renter friendly. The sensor from my front door does not read if the door is open or closed properly, and I have called about this in the past. They sent me new sensors, with the new ones having the same issues as the old. Our living room motion sensor sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. The camera does not connect to the system properly. The system sometimes randomly disconnects from the internet. And we can sometimes come in and out of the house without the alarm going off. We currently pay for the service that will call the police if someone breaks in, but we might even cancel this because more than 1/2 the time the alarm doesn't even pick up if people come in or out of the house. It's a shame that the system isn't better, as they are the only renter friendly alarm system I could find. If you can get the system to work properly, then I'm sure it would be a beautiful system.

Once you buy it, you’re stuck
Invested in a system… it’s super buggy. Cameras flip on an record you at random times, even when it is DISARMED. Customer service tells you that it isn’t possible, evening though you witnessed the whole thing. Then they have no solution to offer you, when they finally believe you. BUT, I invested hundreds in the system, I could leave, but I’ll never see that money again. Best I can do is recommend no one else get suckered in.

A critical part of this system is…
A critical part of this system is obviously a properly functioning camera. Unfortunately the camera, which has been replaced is still unreliable. After multiple attempts to have the camera issues corrected, including my request for senior management to intervene I have had no response. I have concluded this system at best, is very limited in providing the security the company advertises. Use at your own risk!

I’m on my 3rd keypad and I still don’t…
I’m on my 3rd keypad and I still don’t have one that’s functional .This has been going on since day one.Now I haven’t pressed the issue and have not given SimpliSafe another chance to rectify the issue as using the app to arm and disarm works just fine.
