I can’t manage all devices through the hub without paying for the monthly plan. Most systems allow you to edit and devices. The bedd as t thing was when I had the free month was the easy interface for adding devices. Currently system sits in box inused

It is impossible to get in touch with anyone to help you with your account and you can't even cancel online. To cancel, they make you call in but no one ever picks up the phone!

Customer service and tech support need work
I had high hopes for simplisafe, but after installing the system, it would not stay connected to my wifi. Spotty coverage, sometimes no coverage at all. I tried multiple times with their tech support, but they kept having me try stupid things that didn’t work. My wifi was strong enough, even by their standards, but the system would not stay connected. I asked for a refund and they refused. I had to open a Better Business Bureau complaint before they took me seriously, sent someone out to troubleshoot, and then when their person couldn’t fix it, they FINALLY gave me a refund. Way too much stress to make them live up to their reputation. I would not recommend.

Cameras suck
Cameras suck. Way to slow to use with delay and speaking in a one way system. Clarity is pathetic with the night time. The ring camera was such garbage that I had to just toss it. Ring makes a better camera and app to use. SimpliSafe app is laughably useless except for the montering inside the house. That works fine.

poor customer service from the start
Order arrived late! was trying to get a recently purchased home connected with a security system. The order was incomplete or wrong... No keypad, half of the sensors were missing etc. Took over 24 hrs to have someone return my call... did not receive a RMA the next day as promised. Could not talk to the original customer service person whom I explained my situation. After 72 hrs of this poor customer relations. I was finally able to get a RMA to return everything. If Simplismart could not help me in a timely manor to get my system online, how could I possibly trust them to call the appropriate EMS/ Fire or Law Enforcement agency when the time came.

Can't reach customer service for help.
I tried to reach customer service and hung up the phone after being on hold for 40 minutes. I sent an email and didn’t receive a response (it’s been one day since I sent the email).

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service Very long waits if you need any help. Do NOT recommend use a different company. I waited for 1 hour 45mins to talk to a person. Online was not helpful. Its cheap because they have no support people.

The system was easy to install
The system was easy to install. However one of our door sensors stopped working after 3 months of use. They are supposed to last 5 years. We tried calling customer service for a replacement and couldn't get through. After several tries we decided to order a new one and pay out of pocket. So we're not thrilled with your follow up customer service. Thank you

Difficult to cancel plan
Everything is fine until you try cancelling your monitoring subscription. How come upgrading to a more expensive plan is conveniently possible through the app, but downgrading or cancelling only works by calling SimpliSafe? You have to wait in line for 20-30 minutes, then talk to a support person whose only job is to waste your time and eventually forward you to another higher tier personell which finally is able to cancel the plan. The entire phone call took 1 hour. Don't advertise it as "Cancel anytime" if you're making it so difficult for your customers. It's a shame I have to give 2 stars because everything else works great. The system is easy to set up and works very reliably.

alse alarm trigger event…
There was a false alarm trigger event that happened around early July. We have 2 control keypads and at that time both are saying as base "not in range", hence the difficulty to turn off the alarm. One of the keypad is no more than 4 feet away from the base and no obstruction. The other keypad is about 15 feet away on a separate room. I called customer support and was told that some expert will call me back to help and check what happened. NOBODY CALLED BACK!!!

New system with defective items. SimpliSafe refused to take care of it.
Put in a new system in the house I just bought. One of the door sensors has to be reset every week by taking the battery out and reinstall about 5 minutes later. SimpliSafe refused to replace it after a week in service. I have another system at another location without any problems.

I used the glue that came with the unit…
I used the glue that came with the unit in installation, less than a year they started falling off one by one. I had to hire a company to add the screws, but by then we did not have all. Some units have not worked for a while.
