Had issues connecting to cellular
Had issues connecting to cellular and other products. Decided to try ring which was easier to connect the different pieces.

Video doorbell would not connect…
Video doorbell would not connect correctly. Even tried a 2nd one after returning first and tech support. I will give them an excellent rating for trying but unless they have a decent video doorbell. I will pass.

Unable to connect to our WiFi
Equipment ordered was delivered quickly, but despite several hours of telephone technical support, it could not get connected to our WiFi. Our only recourse was to return it.

good service but MANY hardware issues.
While the system is easy to set up and operate, I have had several issues with the hardware. I also must state that the customer service has also been good and very professional and hardware has been replaced (mostly) timely and without many hurdles to jump through. My issue is with the hardware itself failing. I have witched out a unit base, a smoke detector, a keypad, and several door/window sensors. Some would just fall offline and stop talking to the base, others would malfunction and trigger for no reason, both when the system was armed and not. I have still been recommending the system, but not without warning people the hardware leaves much to be desired.

VIDEO DOORBELL STILL NOT WORKING
VIDEO DOORBELL STILL NOT WORKING. WAS ON PHONE FOR 3 HOURS TO TRY TO SET ALARM ON APP. THAT FINALLY WORKS. NOW I AM TRYING TO RESOLVE THE MONTHLY FEE OF $4.99 WHICH CONTINUES TO BE CHANGED TO $9.99 MONTH. STILL SHOWING $9.99 ON MY APP AND NO CARD. I REALLY DON'T WANT TO CALL AGAIN AND WASTE ANOTHER 3 HOURS. HE ASSURED ME THE APP WOULD BE UPDATED TO SHOW $4.99 MONTH FOR VIDEO DOORBELL MONITORING - OF WHICH I CAN'T SEE A VIDEO----WITHIN THE HOUR OF TALKING TO HIM. STILL NOT FIXED. CRIS WAIDLICH

Equipment is spotty and does not work…
Equipment is spotty and does not work consistently every day. The front door camera will pick up cars driving down the street, but not always when someone is coming up to the front door (or leaving out of the front door). The front doorbell camera will also only record a few seconds of video, then say the video is not available. The indoor cameras will go offline on their own or they will not pick up movement. We will get a notification that one of the alarm sensors is not connected, but all appear to be in full working order when we check the equipment. The speaker option from the phone to the camera will quit working after using for a few minutes.

We cancelled Simply Safe immediately…
We cancelled Simply Safe immediately after receiving it due to the system being a “plug in” system (as opposed to a battery system). However, Simply Safe continued to charge our credit card for monthly monitoring - eventually I just had to cancel the program through the credit card company. Each time I called SS they told blamed the “mistake” on the monitoring company (which apparently is not Simply Safe, but a separate company they sub-contract too).

Incapable of completing simple online order
A while back, I moved and took my system with me. Since I moved my sensors, I needed some new adhesive strips for the entry sensor magnets. The strips for the sensors themselves are just Command strips, so those are easy to replace, but I needed adhesives for the magnets. I placed an order for them and received instead replacement magnets themselves. I called in and let customer service know what happened. After spending longer than was strictly necessary to explain exactly what I was trying to order, and what I received in error, a replacement order was made. When I received that, it was adhesives for the entry sensors, and not for the magnets. I called customer service again, got another replacement order, and received the same thing again, more adhesive for the entry sensors and none for the magnets. At that point I gave up and just cut the adhesive strips to make them work for the magnets too.

Doesn't work.
The system has never worked. We do get notice on my husband's cell phone of someone at the door or alarm turned on or off, BUT No pictures of any kind. It does not work as intended. We are very unhappy with it. My husband spend lots of time on the phone with someone. Did not do any good.

Too many issues
Too many issues, Camera didn’t pickup movement, alarm armed itself on multiple occasions, had the alarm go off and was never notified by simplisafe.

I don’t like the fact that I was on hold for 25 minutes to change my monitoring. I was changing it to standard, but became so irritated I canceled the service.

Hardware is junk.
It’s very easy to set up, but the hardware is garbage. I bought hundreds of dollars Worth of components and have had multiple failures that required replacements. Should have better quality components for the money.

Customer service ignores the customer
I have requested multiple times that I ALWAYS receive a call when my alarm goes off, regardless of whether it is deactivated by a valid code. Your company has failed to do this 3 times, which endangers me and my family. An intruder could force me to deactivate the alarm once it goes off and the failure to call could result in serious consequences.

I’m very unhappy with the customer service they promised to send me out stickers that I had ordered and they didn’t put in the order. I called back to get my stickers that they didn’t send out twice and they refused to send me the stickers very unhappy customer

Initially I had great service from…
Initially I had great service from Simplisafe. But when you recommended your subcontractor to install simlisafe, it all went downhill. They made appointments that they didn’t honor. Had my goddaughter waiting all day once, they didn’t show up nor did they call. They did reschedule, call and said they were on their way and didn’t show up. Highly unprofessional. It wasn’t simplisafe’s doing, but you did recommend them, which is a bad reflection on simplisafe. I believe the company’s name was Hello Tech

My motion sensor has never worked…
My motion sensor has never worked correctly, even though it’s been replaced. Every time I use it and leave the house, it goes off. I’ve had other very similar services, GetSafe, and did not have this issue. I’ve given up on trying to fix it. I would not recommend.

Installation easy, hardware acceptable, customer NO-Support is typical.
While the hardware seems ok (I haven’t tested any real emergencies yet) tech-support is MISERABLE. It takes days to get any sort of response, oh and the user interface is difficult. Text is a light gray, hard to see. The three icons for Off, Home and Away are ridiculous with tiny text that can’t be read without glasses. I have suggested many times by phone and email, that they update the icons with useful shapes like a circle for Off, outline of a home for Home, and a stick person walking for Away. Can’t get anybody to return a call or email.

I ordered a door lock in March and…
I ordered a door lock in March and after waiting until July for it to be delivered I called customer service. I was told it could be 2 weeks or it could be 6 months. I ask for a refund and was told when I received the phone to activate a return. Not sure how this makes any logical since, if I waited until I received it, why would I return it. I continued to request my refund and was put on hold. When the CS rep came back on the line he said again I would have to wait and repeated the scenario above. Finally after being Rey persistent I was told I would have my refund in about 2 weeks. This whole thing took over a hour to settle. Up til this point I had been happy with your product.
