I just switched my business alarm…
I just switched my business alarm system over to Simplisafe. There were some issues with the equipment, but these were replaced quickly and efficiently. This morning I am trying to respond to a billing issue. The e-mail said the CC did not process, which does not make sense. I have tried several times this morning to reach customer support and the wait times on every call are over 40 minutes. I just don't have 40 minutes to wait on hold to resolve an issue.
Old dog apparently unable to learn new tricks
I have never been able to activate the system, despite spending hours (literally) with three different consultants on the phone on three different evenings. Like so many seniors who did not grow up with technology, I my knowledge level seems to be impervious to explanation. The only times I can understand computer instructions is AFTER I know what to do -- at which point I can then make sense of what is being directed.
The bottom line is that I spent money and time on a system that does not leave me any safer than before it was acquired. So from me, a rating of two stars is pretty generous.

Terrible equipment and service, I was appalled when I found out there is a charge of 70.00 every time a technician comes out.

I waited 15-20 minutes before speaking with anyone and then when I did, it was pretty clear they did not know how to manage my request and put me on hold for another 5-10 minutes. I just wanted notify the company of my permit number from the city. It should not have been a 30min process.
Great....until the keypad quits working:(
The system overall works great, but I’m very disappointed that my keypad no longer works. I have changed the batteries several times with no luck at all. Is there some type of warranty on the keypad. I have the app to control the system, but the rest of my family needs the keypad to use it. Please help a frustrated customer.

Door sensors fell off walls less than an hour after installation by technician. Customer support calling center very unhelpful. They sent us some replacement tape (joke) that arrived in mail about 2 weeks after tech came back out. We were also told monitoring ends at midnight and then u have to call some other number if emergency. Keep in mind this was SEVERAL months ago & just now getting this survey. Wouldn’t use this company again as no follow up and they knew we were not happy.

My system has not even been hooked up. I have to try to find someone to hang my outdoor cameras and this expense is out of pocket.
Before I purchased this service
Before I purchased this service, I was informed that I did not have to pay for the monthly service fee to be able to control the system on my own through the app. After the 30 day free trial I noticed that I was being charged and called into customer service where I was informed that the system would not work without the monthly service. Very disappointed specially with a service that is not functional on a day to day basis. It consistently disconnects from the internet and I am having to reboot the system multiple times a week.

100% disappointed in the customer service i received trying to get my system up and working. I would not recommend this service to anyone. System goes off for no reason and the customer service could not help me get it fixed. system is still not fully operating 5 months after being installed.
Was on hold for over an hour
Was on hold for over an hour. Customer service rep had a bad connection. Placed me on hold for another 20 minutes. Call was eventually disconnected. No one called me back. Smoke detector still does not work.
Proactive monitoring but not great customer service for equipment
I really like how proactive SimpliSafe is about monitoring. However, the base station that I was sent has been malfunctioning and resetting itself since the first week that we got it. I have tried calling and emailing SimpliSafe multiple times regarding the issue and have either gotten no response or I have been left to wait on hold and unable to speak to anyone. I just wanted equipment that doesn’t go off and scare the crap out of me at all hours but no one will respond. Poor review for lack of response to faulty equipment.

I was lied to about the system I bought. I told them I did not want remote monitoring handled by anyone, only myself. I was not told I had to pay monthly to be able to remote monitor myself. The system is basically not usable without remote monitoring paid for monthly. Also too many sensor issues. I have uninstalled it and will be looking for another stand alone system. There are many out there available. The bad news for me is I spent $1000+ on a system I cannot use.

I purchased the entire equipment thinking it was going to be less money than paying for ADT. But at the end of the day is more expensive because I have to pay full service just to use all the app features. Not worth spending so much on this equipment.
Horrible customer exp
Horrible customer experience. Got the run around at every corner. Could not offer professional install even though they agreed to being able to do so, before signing up. Getting money back was equally painful!
Do not feel SAFE and nothing was SIMPLE with this company.
The sensors on the doors and windows…
The sensors on the doors and windows work well however the keypad doesn't work and hasn't since we basically received it. I've changed the batteries but nothing helps. It's very frustrating and we have to leave it off for that reason

You are sending me a review request, and have not even responded to the e Mail I sent about the issue at hand; not the right way to start. Human telephone reps are the way to handle issues, not some nebulous e Mail query and repo se. I currently have 2 homes protected by simplisafe, and am questioning my decision. I have seen online recently how easy your wifi systems can be hacked as well. Not a good look.
Easy to buy
Easy to buy. Easy for someone to install. Easy to use….but ever since I had this installed, some piece malfunctions. Front door sensor, motion sensor, garage door sensor, living room door sensor…then the help people, go check the battery….when does it end? I have a feeling…never. I don’t think I’ve had it for six months…wishing I would have gone with a more reliable system…

The system does not work correctly right now. I am replacing a lot of batteries. There have been some false alarms, and the smoke detector is not connecting with the system.
