Continuous issues with devices "not responding". Would not recommend for medium to large homes with significant items to monitor.
You promised installation and failed.
You promised installation and failed to provide it. I sent the kit back and waited almost a month for a refund. I have given numerous reviews. Since they will not improve, this will be my last.
Makes you pay for features that should be included.
In order to use this system with Alexa, you have to pay their ridiculous monthly monitoring fee. The Alexa end should be included with the system. Monitoring should be for monitoring only. The system itself seems to work well and triggers only when tripped. The sensors seem to be strong. But having to pay a monthly fee for in home services makes this a marginal deal at best.

Watch Out for Deceptive Sales Techniques
While I think the system is basically worthwhile, with its good points, I did NOT appreciate discovering that my order for a planned non-monitored system to include components that only work with paid monitoring. Those items should be separated out in the online catalog. Customers should know, in advance, if they'll be able to use what they've purchased. I called your team to return the panic button, which turned out to be only good for the monitored system. After shipping it back to your company, I never received the promised refund.
Skip the doorbell camera and get a Ring
Door/window sensors and indoor cameras work great, however the doorbell camera is awful. We are on our fourth now and it is “disconnected” at least 50% of the time despite no wifi issues. It is attached to the doorbell power but we get notifications multiple times a day that “front door battery is low”. We have also had guests standing on the porch, ringing the doorbell, with no notification whatsoever. Sometimes we’ll find packages on the front porch when we received no camera notification. Customer support has no idea how to solve and they just keep sending us new ones, so we have to ship back the old ones constantly.

Great product, but when customer service dumbs you down, I'd rather give my money to someone else.
Your customer service is horrible and you've stolen my money.
So, purchasing the system was 5-star. Setting up the system was 5-star. Using the system is 5-star. However, and this is where SimpliSafe gets a 1-star (0-star really), the video doorbell would drop of the network to the point where the unit was useless. After a number of doorbell/system resets and some calls to tech support it became clear the the doorbell was no compatible with my home network. I was left with two choices: change all my networking hardware or stop using the doorbell. I chose the later for cost reasons. After more calls to tech support I was able to escalate and get a refund up return of the product. The product was returned and I NEVER GOT THE REFUND. I now don't have my SimpliSafe Video doorbell and I don't have my refund. I will not be recommending SimpliSafe to anyone.

Alarm and software are functional but I wouldn’t buy them again. Software is slow and clunky compared to others. Not enough filtering features. Cameras do not work 50% of the time and do not capture important events. Motion detection does not catch ongoing motion. Cameras are really just terrible.

If you want a rolling charge on your card without ever seeing exactly what you are being charged for then this is for you. But if your hand is in my pocket and you have the right to take money from it. You need to show me a bill.
Very low enviremental value
Simpli Safe products don't comply with the enviremental needs, they are not up to date related to the use of rechargeable ion batteries and the use of power supplies to be able to charge their batteries automaticly. Up to date means here also to use power supplies where ever possible and let the customer decide if he wants to use batteries or not.

Customer service was a nightmare to deal with. Was on hold for nearly 30 minutes to cancel services.
False alarm central
all Simpli safe is for us is false alarms.
I have a 3 week old and you can’t imagine how frustrating this is for us.
We’ve had several new systems and alarms sent to us over the past year and nothing solves it. We’ve spent 10+ hours on the phone and reinstalling all the new versions they’ve sent us but nothing fixes it. Today with the new born was the final straw.
Can't seem to get a hold of customer support
I've been on the phone several times and each time I'm on hold for 30+ minutes. I can't get a hold of customer service to help me at all. They don't respond to the "Contact Us" email solution and they don't answer the phone.

Very dissapointed on the way the sales person lied about the system, if something needs hard wiring, I should be said to the customer, period!

Where is the replacement camera?
For the second time a camera placed outdoors has failed. I was told a new camera was coming to replace it. That was over two weeks ago and now when the house is empty and the alarm is set we have no lakeside camera. They even sent the return barcode for the broken camera and nothing more has happened.
My order got screwed up..
My order got screwed up... So it did not arrive when I needed it so I had to go with another solution. I expected perfection and did not receive it... Failed from the get go. If the ordering gets screwed up wonder how the service is ?
Unhappy overall
Overall I am extremely dissatisfied with my service with simply safe. I have three cameras that will not connect to the Internet no matter what I try to do. The person I called for help was less than helpful and implied that my Internet must have been problematic. Speeds are fine. We also have multiple other items connected to the Internet at our home to include movie streaming, etc. and have no problems. I am about ready to cancel my service, so all of my equipment and find a company that can provide the service I need for my home.
