Poor system
The sensors keep falling down. The hub doesn’t even connect to the app. I haven’t been able to use this system at all. What a waste of money
Setup was easy
Setup was easy, but the fact that you cant even view the cameras without paying $30 a month is ridiculous. The quality of the camera was very poor and grainy. If I remember right they were black & white too. I returned the whole unit within 60 days and it was very painful to receive the refund, kept telling me to wait... wait another week. after a month finally was able to get a supervisor to approve my refund.
Since then I have purchased all Ring cameras and security system and I could not be any happier!! I would recommend Ring over SimpliSafe every day of the week. First off, your first year is free, then only $10 a month if you choose to record for 90 days, but there is also a free option. Also, the cameras are very HI-Def.

Wanted it to be simple but...
I felt like the whole process was confusing. I just wanted a simple system that wasn't tied to a monthly service, but the system was kind of useless without one. I finally got a clear answer from a rep and was able to return everything (and was refunded) but it took quite a long time and overall felt like purposefully difficult to get it all taken care of.

Good devices, but everything else is terrible
While the devices work well, but their website is terrible to navigate for specific items and their customer service is non-existent. For example, we had to hunt through their site going through random navigations to find "external" camera set-up kits. We also though of buying a doorbell from them, but when we decided it was not a good fit, we tried to return it. For weeks we sent multiple emails to their customer service (which we had to hunt for) and no reply was given. The return period ended and now we have a simplisafe doorbell that we can't use and nothing can be done about it.

Everything has broken, all the things come unstuck. I call to tell them and the answer is to send me out more stickies- They send and those come unstuck as well. Don’t waste your money. I’m so aggravated that I’m paying for a service that I can’t even use, have to cancel and buy all knew items from a more reputable place.

Great in theory, not so great in practice.
Great in theory, not so great in practice. At any given moment, one or two of my six cameras aren't working, and show connectivity issues, despite two of them being within 15ft, unobstructed, of the router. My doorbell has never worked properly, and user settings are too rigid to customize. Also, upon receipt of my kit, part of the sign post was missing, thus rendering it useless. The 1080p cameras at this point are almost obsolete as 4K from other companies becomes the norm. In hindsight, this wasn't an expensive kit, but I can't say I'd recommend buying one today.

I did not get proper service at all. I've been calling about 5 times already alooking to get service from you including dispatch being called to our places which has not happened. It seems your company has to give a permit to the city which is not happening regardless what is being done and said. City and police dept has indicated to me that it is simplisafes responsibility to do and even you guys have said you will do it but hasn't been done in about 3 months now. I have been monthly fees to you without an actual service from you which I believe I should be reimbursed as you are not taking care of my 4 homes. If you are not able to take care of this permit please reimburse the monthly fees since we have started and the equipment and we can go to another company which is willing to take care of their customers!

We are very disappointed in this application as a "business" security system. It is adverstised as a business security system but it fails in many respects like number of users and log detail.

If you don't have a monthly monitoring subscription then it is useless.. self monitoring disables the app and you can't view the cameras that you payed full price for. Why charge full price for sensors,cameras and unit when it can't be self monitor..

Customer support is a joke. Last time I called the lady was having a conversation with someone else while on the phone with me. She was absolutely no help at all.
Your system locked me out of my house…
Your system locked me out of my house not once but twice. The second time, I had to break a window to gain entry into my house, which cost me $180. I would not recommend this company to anyone!
Expensive, not worth it
Expensive. Doesn’t allow self monitoring. Need to pay extra to get notifications on my phone whenever an alarm is activated. Absurd. I changed to Abode. They give me notifications and self monitoring for $6/month.
Simpli safe is great when it’s working
Simpli safe is great when it’s working. I have spoken with 4 different tech ‘s and our system is still down.
One technician wanted me to get my exercise. Walk to nearest sensor, take it down and do this, do that for over an hour.
We are elderly, my husband is paralyzed and I’m not able to kneel down and get up without help. I needed to get caregiver assistance. There must be a better way.
