poor customer service via phone
poor customer service via phone. system requested user name and password at 11:00 PM. rep said I should reinstall app. Really...at bedtime?

Zero, really. After keeping me on hold for almost two hours, the new sensor you sent me doesn’t work either and the “help” message you sent says that you won’t help by email, that if I want to try to make it work, I’ll have to call. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet, but it probably doesn’t involve calling, unless you want to compensate me for my time spent waiting.

I have not had a great experience with…
I have not had a great experience with Simplisafe. Sensors and locks don't respond; the base station keeps saying, "something not responding". We have tried to rectify this by resetting but it does not solve the problem

Horrible customer service.
Customer service used to be good. It is now terrible. If you have to reach someone when your alarm goes off, you'll stay on hold forever. Totally worthless.

Unreliable locks and sensors
Unreliable locks and sensors. You can be locked out of your own home due to even brand new locks, close to the base station, losing connectivity. Sometimes, when setting simplisafe to away, the alarm turns on, but the locks stay unlocked. I have a simplisafe lock that no longer even allows me to unlock the door with my own physical key. This is a common problem others have faced. Google "simplisafe lock sticking". I wouldn't recommend.

Camera worthless
What good is a camera that has never worked. SimpliSafe loves to charge for the service but it’s always our “signal”. Everything else in system works so why not the camera. Guess that’s why they “give” them away for free. What a joke.

I spent a lot of money to purchase many pieces of your equipment, but it is virtually useless because you cannot use your phone app to control them, unless you pay for monthly monitoring. The phone app use should come standard with equipment purchase! 😫 you don’t always have access to a PC computer when an alert happens.

Never worked
Never worked so sent it back! Mail was delivered 6 days a week or at least walked by but was NEVER seen so crook easily would have gotten by it also!!!!!

Don't order unless you can afford to wait a couple extra weeks even with rush delivery
I ordered a system with specific parts to fit my home, and paid for rush delivery. It sat for days in the warehouse and then got rerouted so it took two weeks to get to me. I had to arrange for delivery service to hold the system until I got back from my trip, which is why i bought the system in the first place. No thanks. Going to build my own setup with google nest/home. When I called because of the delay, I was not treated very nicely; fairly rude and abrupt.

Great price
Great price. When I call in I am on hold for a long time. Once I get an agent the problem I have is not fixed , and they give me steps on how to fix it, instead of having them fix it. Also I am not 100 confident that if I had a burglar come in, if the siren would go off or the police would be notifed

I wish I never bought SimpliSafe
I thought it would be great to turn monitoring off when Covid hit to save some $$ as we were never not home. But it does not really "work" unless you subscribe to their monitoring service. The spp won't let me view my cameras and give me an error complaining that I'm not subscribed to monitoring. Also they make it as inconvenient as possible to turn monitoring off. While you can activate monitoring yourself, as a "self- service" function via the app you cannot cancel it without calling in, waiting on hold and then soending another 10 minutes on the line with the representative. I sincerely regret having purchased this and will never reactivate the monitoring service.

I was on hold for 25 minutes and no one…
I was on hold for 25 minutes and no one ever picked up. I called again a day later and was on hold for another 20 minutes before I hung up. I have a sensor that is not triggering when the door is open and need help to get it working. It used to work. I need help... no one helped me.
