I'm very unhappy with my SimpliSafe system and the technique support. My System has been giving me error messages right and left. My cameras have motion detectors yet they never record anything. No matter what setting the system is on. A few weeks ago I had someone come in my house uninvited and the cameras didn't even pick it up thank goodness for my pit/mix who stepped up and scared the intruder off. When I go to review the footage it always says I need to upgrade but I have the highest plan already which I don't even remember signing up for. I had been paying for months before I realized I was being charged a subscription fee. After realizing that I started to utilize the feature of the subscription and I was far from impressed my smart lock are non-responsive 89% of the time so there goes unlocking and locking the door feature most times. My cameras are a joke and must just be for show. I was told my cameras only record in away mode making this camera almost completely useless to me. Even in away mode my cameras never record making them absolutely useless. It also takes too long for my cameras to connect so it's mostly pointless to use them to see who is at the door I just have to get up and see it's actually faster. A few weeks ago I sat on the phone for 2 hours going over all the issues I was having with my system. My system was malfunctioning 2 weeks later. I'm so irritated I spent almost a grand or more on my system.

Entry sensors are the only useful thing. Camera and monitoring kinda sucks. Especially if you want to use an indoor camera outside
Video was bad
Video was bad, Kept loosing connection with cameras. Any video captured was such low quality as to be worthless. Numerous calls to service over several years kept resulting in the same dead end answers. Finally, in desperation after another break-in, after many hold sessions and escalating up the chain, a person said my wifi bandwidth was too slow to handle 2 cameras. I have 41.6Mbps down and 6 mbps up. If they told me this was too slow 2 years ago, I would have been able to up my bandwidth or change systems.

The cameras dont provide notifications unless someone is within a foot, although the settings are at their most sensitive. It took me over two hours to work with your rep to get them going to begin with. Very poor quality compared to the Honeywell cameras i also have.In addition,We are forever getting "not responding" from our various sensors, and then they start responding? This is not how a security system should work. It has to be reliable and easy to work with. Thinking of going back to ADT!

Dissatisfied in Toledo
Not very well. My base station keeps losing WiFi. I work for Buckeye Broadband and had some technicians out to my home with their meters. The WiFi is excellent in my home and especially near the base unit. The suggestion from your tech support, you should be ashamed of. Get an extender, was his response. I rebooted the modem and the base unit and it still drops the WiFi. I even moved the base unit to within 3 feet of my modem. I am very dissatisfied and would like this corrected or a new base unit at no charge!

Doesn’t announce room when a door is opened. Equipment is ridiculously antiquated (no touch screen or panel available). Super annoying and pathetic. Returned the product and went with another company that was infinitely better. Absolutely horrible product.

Poor customer service. Left on hold far too long for 4 straight days. On the 4th day I held until someone answered which was over 40 minutes.
I selected the 14.99 monitoring plan but they took it upon themselves to put me on the 24.99 plan, without my consent.

Wait time for Customer service is too long
Although I was eventually able to resolve my issue, I initially called 3 times and hung up after a 20 minute wait each time. I emailed and was told my issue could only be resolved by calling. So, I called for a fourth time and was on hold for 40 minutes before speaking with someone who could handle my request. Although the person I spoke with was polite and competent, it’s disrespectful of customers’ time to expect them to wait on hold for extended times because you understaff your call center. It is unlikely that I will activate my SimpliSafe account again.

Control of your system through the app…
Control of your system through the app should be available to all users. Requiring users to purchase interactive monitoring to obtain this feature is akin to extortion. Not everyone can or needs interactive monitoring, but are regulated to the keypad or thumb drive because of this choice. Their should be another level of service (with a premium) that allows users to have app control but not interactive monitoring.
