The quality of the cameras is horrible
The quality of the cameras is horrible. Most of my recorded footage is cut off because the camera is constantly going out or losing connection. It’ll also record a bug flying by the camera, but misses people walking up to my door.

the app is crap. the website is pretty bad. this is very basic service with very little features to wow you. i'm definitely switching if they don't improve.
Don’t buy this if you are replacing an existing system
Frustrated at the difficulty in figuring out how to replace an existing system with Simplisafe. Install vendor would not do it even though Simplisafe said they would. Had to cancel and ship the equipment back.

I am constantly having issues with camera- i believe this is why they are giving it away. I ordered a smoke detector and sign- backordered months- never received and the operator was very short with me- as if I lied. Sent Smoke detector 3 weeks later- no sign. Batteries are always needing replaced. All stick to wall- fall down. Constantly replacing. If I had to do it over - went with a cheaper security system was same issues.

I am waiting for a chance to discontinue. Recently cameras were not working. U sent me to HelloTech. They charged me $79 three times and did not fix the problem. First time they sent a rep without any id or ladder. He was rude. Total i lost $237

SimpliSafe advertises like you can monitor your own system without paying for them to monitor it. I bought all the equipment thinking I could monitor it myself. Now, without paying for it to be monitored, I can’t even use the thermostat or flood sensors I paid for. What a joke…

Not impressed. Constantly (daily) chimes that sensors aren't responding. Changed the motherboard, reset it, etc. Customer service had me disconnect/reconnect, etc. Ultimately, we feel like we have second-rate (if any) protection, despite customer service's best intentions and assurances.

I get alerts ('motion sensor activated,' et c) when the system is disarmed (off) (i.e., I'm home), but not when the system is armed (on) (i.e., I'm not home), which defeats the purpose. The customer service is abhorrent; all excuses, no solutions. The installation (arranged through SimpliSafe and done by a third party affiliate) was poorly done and needed to be re-done because devices were not properly installed; additionally, they did not take care to measure and level before installing, so devices are not aligned, which diminishes the aesthetic quality of my house. Experience has been entirely negative.

we have had received numerous messages about various sensor not working, have had system for more than 6 months and still frequently receiving same message. sometimes same sensor or may be a different sensor. currently I need to call support and check on a recent continuing message. not pleased with this system at this date. would refund and return but don't like the penalty of refund policy.

The central station used to be great
The central station used to be great. Maybe it is a function of covid excess unemployment checks but I had to wait a combined 10 minutes on hold to cancel an alarm. Hasn't gone off for 10 months but at that time, they picked up right away. 10 minutes means deputies are at my house.

It didn't work for us. i tried to open 2 separate accounts and it was all missed up from the beginning. I guess in the future I need to order the merchandise separately for each job i am on more than one job. We couldn't ever get them set up as 2 jobs and we got it all wrong and I couldn't get it fixed.

I have a camera that does not work. I’ve called twice waited on hold for 40 minutes each time, talk to people who had no idea what they were doing and never got it resolved. I still have a camera does not work. Like the product not so much customer service.
Lost access
I purchased several components of the alarm system, including a camera for outside. However, because we are working from home and someone is here for almost 100% of the time the monitoring service is not currently needed so I paused it. I lost use of the camera so I paid for a decoration to hang outside on my home. Very frustrating.

Equipment doesn't work. I haven't been able to pair the docking station and device to set up my pin. The first device broke and was replaced quickly, however, the second keypad won't pair. I've been left with equipment that doesn't work.
