The biggest issue is that SimpliSafe doesn’t mention we would need to buy an extra permit with the police/state and have to pay them for coming to help. When we did have our first alarm, SimpliSafe said that they couldn’t send police over because we didn’t have a permit to do that. Key piece

Terrible product, even worse customer service.
Terrible customer service. Alarms constantly fell off windows. Alarm went off at 2am and the police were not called, nor did we receive a call from Simplisafe monitoring. Constantly had an issue with cameras connecting to wifi. When calling for help it was over an hour to speak with an agent. Took them 3 days to reply to an email. Pass, pass, pass. Get another system if you care about monitoring and reliability.

I ordered the simple safe system but…
I ordered the simple safe system but the hello tech people who were to install it did not have a tech In my area to set it up. I tried several times, called simply safe for help and was offered no help. It’s truly been very frustrating. I will be sending my system back for a refund.

I have had ongoing issues since…
I have had ongoing issues since installing my system. Customer service has required a long wait every time I call, and rarely resolve the issue. The current issues is my lock and one of my cameras. The lock keeps getting stuck and the backyard camera does not detect motion in spite of there being motion daily.

I cancelled my subscription one day… July 12th.
I cancelled my subscription one day flyer charged and they company wouldn’t refund me the funds for unused monitoring. We were in process of moving so it was hard to call on exact date.

Spent approx $550.00 for a system
Spent approx $550.00 for a system. Explained to sales person that it was for my work shop and house. Told her shop was approox 110 feet from home. She said system was good for approx 800 feet. After many attempts I was told that the medal clad siding would not let the shop be protected. Might want to have sales people go over this procedure.

One of the worst companies I have EVER dealt with in business or personally. I have documented all the problems and the length of time I wasted trying to get billing resolved to installation to not get correct credit to just out and out lies. They must be doing something right just not with us.

Looked good on paper...
Concept is sound - a simple security system that is easy to install and configure. Unfortunately for me, after setting it up and getting it operational, the system started dropping sensors all over the place. I gave up after contacting Simplisafe and being given the IT Help Desk equivalent of "did you turn the system off and on again." So great on paper - very poor quality components make the follow-through a whiff in my experience.

I would not recommend SimpliSafe
1. Sensors kept dropping (physically), so I shut off the system 2. Camera images not sharp; and doorbell camera lags and stream drops frequently. Which substantially reduces functionality 3. I do not arm the system anymore. i.e., all it represents now is cost 4. I would not recommend SimpliSafe (the product; customer service is fine)

If you want to pay monthly for monitoring, this is a good service. If not, look elsewhere.
I bought SimpliSafe because they gave the option of being monitored or unmonitored. It was fine while I was in their free monitoring period. However, when I chose to cancel that, wanting to do it myself, I first of all had to reinstall the camera in order to get access to it. (Everything else in Simpli Safe is easy to install, but the camera takes a long time, with the help of a representative on the phone, as it does not easily scan the QR code.) Then I learned that I could no longer use the phone app to see and hear alarms when I am away, or to arm or disarm the system, if I am not on their monitoring system (even though the app was set up and working before the monitoring started). I am very disappointed in this, as I do not want to pay $25 a month for an indefinite period, and don't feel I need that in my neighbourhood. I can still use the keypad in my home, apparently, but not the app on my phone, except to see the camera. So it's not useful when I'm away. Their customer service people are very good on the phone, though you may have to wait a long time to get through. Don't bother emailing as they will just tell you to phone. Also, the website tells about the products, but doesn't give you much practical information about using them. If you want to pay for a monitored service, this is a decent one for a reasonable price. If you don't want monitoring, look for something else.

Not happy at all! Waste of money
Interesting I got an email to review this now. I have been meaning to call. The app is terrible!! It crashes and it does not work with my watch at all. I cannot use the feature to talk to people at the front door because it takes so long to load. The sensors die and disconnect only after a couple months. I use to use this system at a different location and bought a whole new one when I moved. The previous location never had any problems now it’s useless! Very upset by this!

Inferior products, inferior customer support, false alarms, wait on hold forever to talk with someone that is not knowledgeable and unable to rectify issues..... why would anyone bother with this company? Don't know till you try it I guess. Terrible experience in every way!!

I ordered over a month ago and still…
I ordered over a month ago and still have not received the complete shipment. Not the way they advertise. The guy came to install, and the siren fell off the wall in the middle night. I called to have it reinstalled, and they had the audacity to charge me for the service call. Now, I'm going to have to have the rest of it installed when it finally comes, and they will probably charge me again. The company is a ripoff, and a scam company. Go to any other company, you can get the same equipment, probably for less.

Repair Appointments not Kept
Technician was due to come for appointment around 9am Saturday. He called sometime after that time to ask if he could come on Monday instead. I said no, because the alarm was constantly beeping and needed to be fix. Then he said he would come about 1pm. Never showed up and called about 8pm to say he wasnt coming. He said the company had given him too much to finish in one day and that the company should not have added us to his scedule. But he agreed to come Sunday morning at 10am. Once again he was late. Said he had had a long night of karaoke. This is not the first time that this has happened with the same technician. Either he needs to more effecient on jobs to be able to move from one to the other or Safe Home Security needs to stop overbooking him, because he obviouly can't keep up. It looks bad on the companies part and there seems to be no consideration for the customer. There needs to be a great deal of improvement in this area. When you call to make a repair appointment make sure you are their first stop in the am.

I ordered the SimpliSafe system for…
I ordered the SimpliSafe system for protection for my college student daughter who lives alone. While I had high hopes for the easy to set up system, it quickly proved to problematic regarding several sensors being too sensitive and eventually causing an alarm event that resulted in the police being dispatched (even after we told SimpliSafe not to send police) and the apartment complex being disturbed. I removed the system and sent it back for a full refund which I received. The concept is great but sadly it was a disappointment.

Never responded to e-mail
Never responded to e-mail several weeks ago. Had issues with the app, and after talking with 3 different people, got no help whatsoever. Your customer service is not what it is needs to be. It took a rep at Verizon, of all places, to handle my problem. I suppose this is a classic case of getting too big. and foregoing any customer service with long time customers.
