I have had SimpliSafe safe for 6 months…
I have had SimpliSafe safe for 6 months paid my monthly bill for monitoring and to be honest I’m not sure it is being monitored. I pay the fee no one has ever called. I have power outage and it came back on but no one calls. I had it go off and no one called . I did passcode it off but to tell you the truth I’m not sure I’m getting what I’m paying for.

Every time I have tried to call into customer service I am put on hold for rediculous long times. Equipment works great but customer service is not good. I also don’t understand why I have to pay to be able to use my phone to arm/disarm the system? If these things were corrected I would definitely give 5 stars!!
My issue needs a remedy already
The agent I spoke to was informative and great. However this is the fourth or fifth one I have contacted Simpli Safe about my doorbell footage not ever saving since the app update in February. I’ve been paying for this service that isn’t providing what it is supposed to, and no one has offered a remedy. Also, I was disconnected and didn’t not receive a call back.
Desk to monitor
You need to sell a small desk top monitor , so that you can. See cameras your phone could then be available to call for help ,, looked at some but not compatible with simpli safe , need more info please contact me ,,

Didn’t respond to my support inquiry about the new sensor with the low battery being sent. Also charged me an extra $13 out of nowhere and didn’t respond to my support inquiry about why.
SimpliSafe lacks customer care
SimpliSafe makes a nice fancy equipment but they do not do 80% of the rest of the work. Customer care.
Im sure they make a lot of money by not having enough personal to support their customer base.

Front door camera is very erratic
Front door camera is very erratic, not dependable. Time lag is horrible. You have to pay $25.00 per month in order to have the cameras record, this was not made clear at purchase. The price for monitoring was supposed to be around $15,00 per month. Quite disappointed.

I have numerous problems with their system. Carbon monoxide detector would not stop beep so I had to disconnect it. The first monitor station did not work right so they sent me a new one.

Returned all equipment one week after…
Returned all equipment one week after received it (unused). It took SimpliSafe THREE MONTHS and ELEVEN phone calls from me before they issued a refund.
Let Down...
I thought at first all I had to do was pay for the equipment and $15 a month for monitoring and I would be all set. Then I was disappointed to find out I had to pay just as much as my old security system if I wanted to be able to Arm/Disarm while away from home and I did not have to buy their equipment. Very Frustrating, and the "We'll even throw in this awesome camera!" that you can't monitor unless you pay us more money was not helpful either.

Very buggy early system. Atrocious phone support. No hardware upgrade program for existing customers. No HomeKit integration.
Very unhappy
Very unhappy. If I had not already spent over $300 for the equipment I would cancel the service. The very first day my dogs set off the motion detector alarm and the camera. The tech who called me about the alarm said that yes the dogs would set it off. I have a tiny Poodle and a Dachshund ! Also I had to upgrade my plan in order for the camera video to be saved. Otherwise I had to manually save from my phone. Really! I'm supposed to watch someone break into my house on my phone and remember to save the video and that's only if I have my phone handy at the exact time the camera is set off. Not satisfied.

This system is lacking remote management. Will have to pay monthly premium to remotely manage or access or get notification, I’d rather bought different system which can be managed remotely.

I tried SImpleSafe out for about a month and it was horrible. I feel like the motion sensors did not work and when I tried contacting customer support they never answered. I feel that if you're going to have an alarm you should be able to contact someone at all times a day for any questions that might have.

The lag on camera views is annoying. Received monitors with low or dead batteries. False advertisement, not pet friendly.

SimpliSafe system is working well for us. The door bell/cam is a nice enhancement. It is wonderful to see and talk to visitors regardless of my personal location. We learned the hard way the consequences of not remembering the “safe word.” SimpliSafe reported an alarm to the police even as I pleaded on the phone to not escalate notification to the police because I could not remember the safe word. In frustration I forgot the app saves my safe word. Anyway, overall the service is performing as expected.
Does the bare minimum.
There’s always “wireless inference” no matter where I move it in the house. It will shut off my system. It did it so much, I had to shut off the sound because it wouldn’t stop announcing “wireless interference detected.”

The Ring doorbells will not give me a notification, regardless of the settings on my phone or in the Simplesafe app. Kinda makes the unit a whole lot less useful.
